We need you!
We have previously invited you to join our “AGDS: Cell-Omics” study which is trying to understand which antidepressants work for each person, and why.
So far, we have recruited 578 AGDS participants, but we need to double this and reach 1000 to obtain clinically meaningful outcomes. Please sign up now for this exciting study. Our funding runs out in September.

We are also asking participants to provide a blood sample, using a collection kit which you take to your local path lab and at no cost to you.
Recent advances in the science of cell biology are truly incredible and are what make Cell-o possible. From your blood sample, we can isolate cells that can be reprogrammed to make neuronal brain cells in a glass dish. Using these neuronal cells we want to recreate the environments that mimic antidepressant response, tolerance and adverse events that AGDS participants have reported in their online questionnaire. This will help us understand the chemistry of your response/nonresponse to medication and help us design better drugs for the future.
This work is being undertaken at the University of Queensland in the Human Studies Unit.
